UK Online subscribers will need to find a new broadband provider from early next year.
Sky (http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=1487&id=70078) will close broadband subsidiary UK Online early next year.
The pay-TV broadcaster acquired UK Online after purchasing Easynet in 2005, but has now decided to shut down the internet service provider on January 14th 2011 in order to "better serve customers now and into the future".
Ahead of this date, UK Online customers can switch to a Sky (http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=1487&id=70078) Broadband package and enjoy a six-month free introductory offer, plus a new router.
This promotion applies to the Sky (http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=1487&id=70078) Broadband Unlimited deal, which allows downloads at speeds of up to 20Mb/s and is available to non- Sky (http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=1487&id=70078) customers in the organisation's network area for £15 per month.
Consumers living in areas outside of Sky (http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=1487&id=70078) 's coverage will need to choose the up to 8Mb/s Connect tariff for £17 per month.
Alternatively, subscribers can move to a different company by obtaining their Migration Authorisation Code, which will be valid for 30 days after it is received.
Firms using UK Online's business broadband services will need to switch to another provider, as Sky (http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=1487&id=70078) only offers consumer products.
