*Nickelodeon UK launches new magazineMonday, March 7 2011, 17:19 GMTBy Andrew Laughlin, Nickelodeon Consumer Products UK has agreed a licensing deal with publisher DC Thomson to produce the first ever magazine devoted to Nickelodeon.The publication, titled Nickelodeon Magazine, launched today across all major magazine retailers around the UK, priced at £2.75.Aimed at the tween/teen girl market, the magazine will be published every three weeks and have an initial circulation of around 40,000. The launch is being supported by on-air marketing on the Nickelodeon channel.Each issue will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes content from Nickelodeon shows, starting with iCarly, Victorious, SpongeBob SquarePants and new series House Of Anubis.Trudi Hayward, vice-president of Nickelodeon Consumer Products UK, said: "We are delighted to be deepening our audience's connection to the Nickelodeon brand with the launch of a magazine dedicated to Nickelodeon content."Magazines are part of growing up and a popular medium with our audiences so this partnership presents a key opportunity as part of our multiplatform strategy.
