Sagemcom is to release a Freeview+ HD PVR with a 1TB drive in July.
The RTI-90 1TB will be a Linux-based twin-tuner receiver with the ability to export SD recordings to USB connected drives.* There will also be* multimedia playback from USB and DLNA-networked drives with web-enabled Portal functionality likely to be added before Christmas including potentailly YouTube streaming.
The manufacturer also said it will be releasing a Freeview+ HD PVR and Blu-ray disc player combination product in future.
Existing Freeview HD PVRs will be upgraded between now and April to enable upscaling, keyword-based EPG searching, folder creation for recordings and picture in picture functionality.* USB exporting of SD programming will follow in July.
Sagemcom said it is also looking to introduce interoperability between its set top boxes and other Sagemcom products such as its R50 internet radio.
