Published: 10.03 Europe/London, March 28, 2011 The Ukraine DTT multiplex operator Zeonbud has decided to use the DVB-T2 digital broadcasting standard.According to Mediasat, the company took the decision last week following an amendment to its licence conditions earlier this month which now allow it to chose the broadcasting format.Zeonbud was awarded licences to operate four multiplex (MX-1, MX-2, MX-3 an MX-5) in late 2011 and expects them to be operational by the end of the year, with ASO being possible in 2013.Question marks still remain over two other multiplexes, both of which are national and reserved for DVB-T and DVB-H services.Last month the National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine (NTVCU) issued a warning to UDTVN, the licence holder for MX-4, for not having yet launched the multiplex. As of last month MX-6, operated by a company named Ether, had also yet to be launched.
