There are reports that News Corps satellite tv service in Austrailia, Foxtel, have implemented some more security and code to their cards, that is preventing these card being used in non officail Foxtel receivers.
This is very similar to what happened with a few Sky UK channels earlier this year.
According to the reports, this has gradually happened across all channels over the last few days.

Suffice to say, it looks like NDS / Sky may well try to impliment thisnew security to Sky UK receivers and cards in the next few months, if the Austrailian tests are successful.
So it may be that your SKy cards will once again no longer work in those few "non sky" receivers that can currently read sky UK cards.
So it may be that satellite receivers like the Ferguson Ariva, that can currently read a Sky card, soon may no longer be able to.
