*TNT to produce first local TV series in Germany* _ Jörn Krieger ©RapidTVNews | 09-12-2011 _ German pay-TV channel TNT Serie will produce its first local TV series in Germany: In collaboration with Wiedemann & Berg Television the channel will produce drama comedy series "Add a Friend" which will be shown on TNT Serie as a German TV début in April 2012. "For our children's channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang we have successfully been producing local content for the German market for several years," said Hannes Heyelmann, managing director of parent company Turner Broadcasting System Deutschland. "We ware proud to be able to realise the first original production for TNT Serie with 'Add a Friend'. We will thereby set a milestone, not only for TNT Serie, but also in the German pay-TV market." The series, for which ten 25-minute episodes have been initially planned, will take viewers into the lives of people connected to each other through the internet via Facebook, webcams and other services: They chat and fight, fall in love and tell lies, search and find, win and lose, they live and work online. The main roles are played by Ken Duken ("Laconia", "Zweiohrküken", "Inglourious Basterds"), Friedrich Mücke ("Russendisko", "Friendship!", "Mahler auf der Couch"), Friederike Kempter ("Tatort", "Kokowääh", "Vollidiot") and Gisela Schneeberger ("Man spricht deutsh", "Eine ganz heiße Nummer"). The director is Tobi Baumann ("Der Wixxer", "Vollidiot", "Ladykracher").
