*RTL II launches new catch up TV service * Jörn Krieger ©RapidTVNews | 03-02-2012 German commercial broadcaster RTL II has rolled out a new "catch up TV" service on the internet. RTL II Now contains more than 1,500 episodes of TV programmes which internet users can watch in full length free of charge. The line-up includes series such as "Berlin - Tag & Nacht" or "X-Diaries - love, sun & fun", reality shows likeas "Die Geissens - Eine schrecklich glamouröse Familie!" or "Frauentausch" and further in-house productions such as "GRIP - Das Motormagazin" and "RTL II News". In addition to the current episodes viewers can access older content in the archive. A programme guide informs about the dates and times on which the shows have been broadcast on television. The previous "catch up" service RTL II Mediathek which the channel launched in August 2011 will be merged into the new offering. Short videos such as making of's, interviews or highlights of TV shows continue to be available on the video section of RTL II's website. RTL II Now is the fourth "catch up" service provided by German TV group Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland after RTL Now, VOX Now and Super RTL Now.
