*MTS picks Teleste for Russian headend project 11.26 Europe/London, February 6, 2012 By Julian Clover Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS) is to deploy the Teleste Luminato video headend platform and Teleste Broadcast Manager service as part of a nationwide digital TV network across Russia. MTS has already implemented several projects for the construction and modernisation of fixed networks in Russia and plans to convert all the networks to digital format in 2012-2013. The operator is developing its TV channel packages, adding more high definition content, as well as additional service.
