*Ericsson demos UHDTV to EBU*March 19, 2013 08.03 Europe/London By Julian CloverEricsson has led a pioneering live demonstration of a new Ultra High Definition TV encoding system at a EBU technical seminar in Geneva.The demonstration during the European Broadcasting Union Production Technology seminar showed how high quality fast moving images can be captured for sports and live action broadcasting, seen as a key driver for UHDTV.The demonstration focused on interoperability, using the Ericsson technology to receive an off-air feed of a 4:2:0 file-based system and receive and decode as 4K UHDTV. Central to both parts of the 4K UHDTV demo was the
