MediaCorp and National Heritage Board celebrate 50 years of TV in Singapore Louise Duffy | 17-10-2013 In celebration of 50 years of television broadcasting in Singapore, MediaCorp and the National Heritage Board will jointly organise the festival, 50 Years of TV: Experience the Magic, which will be held at the National Museum of Singapore from 23 November to 21 December 2013. The month-long festival coupled with star-studded events and activities will be an experiential showcase of how television has played an integral part in nation-building and how it has shaped Singapore's popular culture. Interactive exhibits will feature the evolution of Singapore television production and provide a peek into the future of TV. There will also be a showcase titled 50 Years of Television: An Exhibition, which celebrates the various milestones of the television, both as a product and lifestyle medium in Singapore from 1963 to today.
