It adds that the three channels shortlisted in the Culture and Documentaries category in this year's EutelsatTV Awards are powerful examples of how channels can excel at exposing a social issue, a work of art or a natural phenomenon.Launched in 2006 and firmly anchored as Turkey's first and most watched documentary channel, IZ TV aims to enrich its content and enhance its technical capability. It has already begun to produce its own 4KTV content and realised the first 4K/UltraHD broadcast in Turkey.NHK WORLD TV is the global TV service of Japan's public broadcaster. The channel draws on NHK's resources to broadcast documentaries and present a window on the multiple facets of Japan's traditional and contemporary cultural trendsOne of the newest channels to emerge from the Sky Italia stable, Sky Arte, launched in November 2012 and takes a contemporary view on all aspects of art, including painting, sculpture, literature, music, theatre, dancing, photography, architecture, design and cinema. Its line-up includes acquisitions from international channels as well as exclusive original productions.The winner of the Culture and Documentaries' Award will be announced on 15 November at the Eutelsat TV Awards ceremony.
