HBO launches TV everywhere in Central America Juan Fernandez Gonzalez | 09-02-2014 HBO GO, the multiscreen and TV everywhere platform of the premium network, will be launched in Panama through the cable operator Cable Onda, marking its first operation in Central America. The TV Everywhere platform is already working in most of South America - users can watch on-demand content no matter where they are in the region, except Brazil. However, Central America had remained without coverage until now, when the most successful HBO productions such as Game of Thrones will be available for mobile screens and on-demand in Panama. The online service for Latin American has more than 1,500 scheduled titles. One of the weaknesses of HBO GO for Latin America is that the Android version is only working in the US at present. Nevertheless, the Android-based smartphones and tablets are the most used in the region. The everywhere service will be available for Cable Onda's premium subscribers which have already the HBO/MAX package. The cable operator had been offering an HBO VOD service for $10 on the top of the regular pay-TV package.
