The Horizon platform will officially be launched in the Czech Republic later today (April 28). Speaking in an opening presentation at the CAEK conference in Prague, Frans-Willem de Kloet, the CEO of UPC Czech, said that over one million users already take advantage of service in Europe. Horizon Go was launched on November 3 last year by UPC Czech as the first stage of the Horizon rollout. Separately, commenting on the view that there are tensions between operators and ISPs in the Czech Republic, Kloet said that there is no tension, with cooperation between all players. He added that that the operator believes in fair competition, with all providers of content being treated in the same way. De Kloet also said that UPC Czech already provides 50% of ISPs with access and is happy to do so.
