ChinaCache teams with Youku Router for new CDN Ecosystem DetailsEditor | 07 September 2015 In a clear demonstration of the advance of the Chinese online video market, ChinaCache is teaming with Youku Router to create a new content delivery network ecosystem in the country. So significant is the deal, says ChinaCache, that creating a new CDN field in China is a 'game changer in routing industry' for the country. In effect, both companies reached an agreement for what they call an intelligent terminal content sinking programme, to build a completely new CDN acceleration ecosystem and establish what they describe as 'a win-win strategy pattern together for ChinaCache, Youku Tudou and terminal users'.The so-called intelligent terminal sinking programme is designed to create a new CDN business model, taking the Youku Router as the carrier for network content storage to achieve network content scheduling; traffic guidance and content delivery for end users by means of built-in intelligent delivery software independently developed by ChinaCache; push CDN acceleration service to household sides; and become an CDN acceleration node closest to the end users. Both companies believe that such an acceleration model will improve terminal users' online surfing experience and fully accelerate the access speed for large-traffic content such as file downloads and video watching. Moreover they see that an intelligent terminal sinking programme establishes access and return mechanisms between equipment and ChinaCache nodes, between equipment, and between equipment and source sites, to realise comprehensive and efficient content scheduling.Under the terms of the deal ChinaCache will push content to the storage space offered by Youku Router and directly return the content sources to the end users or through node scheduling; schedule the access and request of the end users to the location closest to the users; select the optimal data return path for the users; and realise what it says is the fastest access speed.
