*Champions League semi final brings in 2.9m for ITV1 By David Barros, 22-Apr-10, 15:00 LONDON - Last night's UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg between Bayern Munich and Lyon was a washout for ITV1 with just 2.9 million people watching between 9pm and 10pm, according to unofficial overnight figures. Despite peaking at 3.7 million viewers, the lack of English teams meant ITV1 was unable to match the audiences of previous years such as 10.2m for a Manchester United against Arsenal semi-final game last year. However the channel still led the ratings with a 12.8% audience share, ahead of rivals BBC One and Channel 4, which took 11.8% and 11.5% respectively. 'Can You Train Your Brain: A Bang Goes the Theory Special' had 2.6 million viewers watching to find out the results of the world's biggest brain training experiment, answering the question "Can brain training games make you smarter?" 'Jamie Does Andalucia' on Channel 4 managed 2.5 million viewers, a rise of 200,000 viewers since the cooking series debuted last week. 'Monty Halls' Great Hebridean Escape' on BBC had 2.2 million viewers, 10% of the audience, while 'NCIS' on Five had 2.1 million, a 9.6% share. BBC HD pulled in 13,000 viewers with 'Beautiful Minds,' a 0.06% audience share.*
