Telco revenues fall in SpainNovember 28, 2019 12.13 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul Retail revenues in Spain’s telecom market were 2.2% lower in the second quarter than in the corresponding period last year.According to the regulator CNMC, they amounted to €6,215 million, with the three main providers accounting for 76.3% of the total, or one percentage point less than in Q2 2018.Masmovil saw its retail revenues increase by 16.3% year-on-year and they accounted for 6.8% of the total. Meanwhile, Movistar’s grew by 1.2% an it share stood at 42.7%, whereas both Vodafone and Orange saw reductions in their revenues and shares. The number of FTTH accesses in Q2 stood at 48.7 million, up from 41.5 million a year earlier.at the same time, the NGA accesses on which some service was provided grew by 15.2% to over 12 million. The pay-TV subscriber total stood at 6.8 million, up 2.1% on a year earlier, with IP accounting for 4.6 million of the total.
