LaLigaTV launches on Sky, Virgin MediaJanuary 15, 2020 11.37 Europe/London By Julian Clover LaLigaTV has launched in the UK market, with distribution over Sky and Virgin Media.The football club’s president Javier Tebas is working with Premier Sports, which is delivering the 24/7 channel in the UK for the first time.LaLiga TV is utilising a number of technical innovations from 360 degree replays through to Hologram interviews.It is available as part of the Premier Sports package and as a standalone channel.The channel will show selected match content and a weekly L Liga Highlights programme free-to-air on the FreeSports channel.Richard Sweeney, CEO at Premier Sports, said: “The launch of the new LaLigaTV HD channel represents an important step in our journey to bring seamless live sports coverage to UK viewers, and it is therefore crucial that we have a trusted partner like Arqiva working alongside us on the project.
