Sundance to pull out of FranceJanuary 15, 2020 11.12 Europe/London By Julian Clover Robert Redford’s SundanceTV is to withdraw from the French market.Launched in 1996 by Robert Redford under the name Sundance Channel, it broadcasts a mix of independent cinema and international TV series from AMC, which has been running the channel in a number of European market.A report on the Génération Cable website was later confirmed by the Satellifax publication.It is available in France via Orange, Canal+, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free.Only two years ago, Sundance debuted on Canal+ and also has distribution through Amazon Channels in Germany and Austria.Broadband TV News has approached AMC for a direct comment.
