Ukraine delays TV 1000 East removalMarch 20, 2020 09.39 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul The Ukrainian regulator National Council has amended its decision of February 20 pertaining to the Viasat channel TV 1000 East.In a statement, it says that the removal of the channel from the list of services allowed to be distributed in the country was initially envisaged to take place one month after its decision in February. However, this period has now been extended to three months as the regulator has yet to hear back from the UK regulator Ofcom, with which the channel is licensed. As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the National Council decided to remove TV 100 East from the list of permitted channels as it did not comply with the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and Ukrainian legislation.
