All View Consulting (AVC), a market research institute, predicts that this year, the sales volume of Internet TV will increase beyond 50% year on year. According to the institute, 35% of all LCD sets sold now have Internet connectivity. The total market for connected LCD televisions in 2010 will exceed RMB30 billion yuan. According to the statistics of Chinese State Information Centre, the sales volume of Internet TV is good for 15 to 20 percent of the total sales volume of flat-panel TVs and reaches between 3 million to 4 million sets. An in-home survey of AVC with 1,200 urban families in China shows that the popularity of televisions provided with Internet function reached 84 percent among consumers.
