Asian Food Network cooks up content deal with Parade Media DetailsEditor | 11 December 2019 Aiming to strengthen its food culture content offer, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific’s food pay-TV channel Asian Food Network has picked up five character-led culinary titles from Parade Media.The deal forms part of the new content strategy from Asian Food Network, focusing on food, culture and Asian food trends.Headlining the deal is new series Luke Nguyen’s Railway Vietnam (10x30’), which centres on celebrated chef Luke Nguyen in the next instalment of his popular series taking viewers on a culinary railway journey in Vietnam. In this ten-part series, Nguyen visits locations from the coastline of Hoi An to the mountains of SAPA. As he does so he in his own style cooks some dishes incorporating some unusual ingredients to challenge the most adventurous palette.]Asia Unplated with Diana Chan (10 x 30’) follows MasterChef Australia winner Diana Chan as she explores the local shops, restaurants and markets, providing tips and advice for sourcing ingredients for each dish, cooking up simple but authentic, home- styled Asian dishes.Inside the Box with Jack Stein (10 x 30’) sees British chef Jack Stein immerse himself in cultural and food experiences, and with the help of a local chef, is challenged to make a new version of the dish that will speak to each city, all from inside his own box kitchen that follows him around the world, visiting cities like Singapore, Bangkok, Zagreb and Lucca. While some dishes will be loved, others will most certainly be judged. But Jack and his box, are going to hit the road, seas and skies to find out.
